Detention Basin Remediation at Home Depot

Client: APEX Companies, LLC 

OCC was approached by APEX Companies, LLC to remediate an existing detention basin for Home Depot in Montville, NJ. Adjacent to the Passaic River & Rt. 46; this detention basin was slowly filling with sediment debris, as well as garbage and pollutants. This buildup created a sufficient blockage of stormwater into the Passaic River which resulted in incessant flooding of the detention basin. OCC’s responsibilities was to remove approximately 12″ of sediment buildup and to dispose off-site. Then OCC was required to restore the area with new erosion control matting and fabric/landscape.
