2021 Roadway Improvements
Client: Township of Harrison, New Jersey
Onorati Construction Co., Inc. was awarded the 2021 Roadway Improvements Contract (“Harrison Avenue, Searing Ave, Searing Ave, S Second St, and Third St)” for the Township of Harrison, NJ. OCC was responsible for removing and replacing various Type B Inlet Structures at the head’s of each intersection. Extra precaution had to be observed when milling and paving Harrison Avenue due to the amount of cobblestone, abandoned trolley track, and supplemental utilities still beneath the existing asphalt roadway. Due to the traffic volume throughout the day on Harrison Avenue; paving operations had to take place throughout the night. OCC also had to take extra precaution with overhead power lines removing 2 36″ diameter trees within the highly urban neighborhood. OCC worked with local subcontractors, Harrison DPW & Engineering Department to ensure the delivery of a successful project.
