Pyramid Mountain Emergency Dam Breach Repair

Client: Morris County Park Commission (MCPC)

Onorati Construction was contacted by MCPC to address an emergency Dam breach at the Pyramid Mountain Dam in Montville, NJ. Working with a local Geotechnical consulting firm; OCC and MCPC worked together on addressing the Dam breach while at the same time transporting the local fish and wildlife to safety while construction would occur. OCC installed dewatering siphons and had to drain the lake to adequate levels that would permit OCC to begin working on reinforcement of the Dam structure. OCC rebuilt the Dam structure, and solidified its’ banks with 12″-18″ RipRap embankment support, and Geotextile fabric.
